Interview With Ms. Preiser

Interviewer: What made you pick Westchester?

Ms. Preiser: I was attracted to the small class size where no student gets lost in the crowd, and I can really get to know every student in the school sooner or later.

Interviewer: If there was one thing you could change what would it be? (could be about the school or anything in general)

Ms. Preiser: I would like to see people channel whatever anger they harbor into constructively solving problems. What's with all this negativity?

Interviewer: What do you like to do outside of school?

Ms. Preiser: I like to be outside. I jog at the Scarsdale High School, my alma mater, track which is a mile from my home almost daily and all summer. If I rest I rust.

Interviewer: What is your perfect dream vacation?

Ms. Preiser: Calm, clear blue water, sunshine and not too many people

Interviewer: What part of English is your favorite to teach and why?

Ms. Preiser: I  absolutely become delirious when I see my students finally understand an idea; it is like watching a cartoon when a little light bulb appears above a character's head- not that my students are cartoon characters, well, there are a couple who bear a striking resemblance to, oh, never mind.

Interviewer: Where do you see yourself in five years?

Ms. Preiser: Still in New York state which has got to be the greatest of the 50. If I go to another state, I can't wait to get back to good old NY.

Interviewer: Lastly, do you have any hidden talents?

Ms. Preiser: No! I can't read music or play an instrument; I can't speak Hebrew. I can quote long passages from poems, novels and plays, but really what good is that? Alas, I am talent deficient:(
