Interview with Mrs. Zimmerman
Interviewer: What made you pick Westchester?
Mrs. Zimmerman: I heard that (pre-corona days) they serve free ice cream (and the occasional leftover deli sandwich) every Friday!!
Interviewer: If there was one thing you could change what would it be? (could be about the school or anything in general)
Mrs. Zimmerman: I would put Mrs. Raftery’s office next to my classroom. I love spending my free periods schmoozing with her about different aspects of life!
Interviewer: What do you like to do outside of school?
Mrs. Zimmerman: In my new role as a wife, I have found I really enjoy spending my time cooking (specifically at midnight with my husband). Alternatively, I like to travel and have new experiences.
Interviewer: What is your dream vacation?
Mrs. Zimmerman: Ever since I was a little girl it has been my dream to go on a gondola in Venice! (We were actually supposed to go this past summer but Hashem reminded us that He runs the world and we spent Covid in Chicago!)
Interviewer: What part of Talmud/Navi/Chumash is your favorite to teach and why?
Mrs. Zimmerman: Depends on the class/book! I really enjoy the historical aspect of putting the stories into perspective, helping students connect the Torah texts to their personal lives and learning new ideas that I did not learn before!
Interviewer: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Mrs. Zimmerman: I see myself sitting around my dining room table, drinking hot chocolate, surrounded by family/students who are learning and laughing. together.
Interviewer: Lastly, do you have any hidden talents?
Mrs. Zimmerman: As long as I have one extra inch, I can parallel park anywhere! (Thanks to the help of Hashem and my backup camera!)
